Xavier is a serial social entrepreneur, founding numerous businesses with positive social impact at their core. The companies he has founded include Better World Books, Indaba Systems, and Zola Electric. He is a digital marketing expert whose businesses have reached tens of millions of customers online. He was named Best Social Entrepreneur by BusinessWeek. He won a Skoll Scholarship to Oxford University, where he received his MBA.
Xavier grew up in a small town in Northern Minnesota. He lived and studied in South Bend, Indiana for six years. He watched his friends and relatives who shared his values become radicalized by right wing talk radio and later Facebook propaganda. He became convinced that the rise of right-wing nationalism around the world was not an accident, but a deliberate and sophisticated effort to manipulate and radicalize ordinary people.
Grady Hannah - Co-Chair
Grady Hannah is an executive in the digital therapeutics space and CEO of NightWare. Grady spent 15 years in Silicon Valley as a Business Development, Strategy and Sales lead in the video game industry.
Grady has participated in three Presidential elections as a volunteer, and believes strongly in the power of the government to have a positive impact on the lives of our citizens.
Ethan Bearman - Co-Chair
Ethan Bearman is the California liberal connecting with millions of viewers every week.
Bearman was named five consecutive years in the Heavy Hundred of talk media by TALKERS MAGAZINE, seen weekly on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, renowned interviewer, known as a guest who can talk in the most difficult opposition interviews, quick reacting to changing topics, and a master at crafting a message that connects. Prior to media, Ethan started numerous companies, worked in the tech field focused on security, performance tuning of large heterogenous systems, and system architecture/design.
Bearman, who lives in Southern California with his family, recently graduated from the prestigious evening program at Loyola Law School Los Angeles with his Juris Doctor (J.D.), performed his daily KGO talk radio show by remote from the Westwood One studios in Culver City, and now has an incisive podcast called Left Coast News.
There is nothing Ethan enjoys more than working with companies, trade associations, non-profits, groups, and individuals on communicating, crafting messages, the state of the media, and politics.
